AHA! my OBOD introduction pack has arrived! (order of Bards Ovates and Druids)
included are the first two Gwers (lessons) from the bardic or first grade as well as a cd, several invitations to the order and two conservation articles. one is a ecological responsibility pamphlet which is good reading. but the second is a book on planting programs. you can actually commit to planting your own grove! it gives all the help you could need in the book. i've always wanted to plant my own grove. now i simply need a plot of land to do so!
i'm currently reading through the rather large introduction booklet and it pretty much answers any questions i have, i'll give the gwers a read and let you know how they are. i'll also listen to this cd today as well this is all really exciting!
anyhoo i'll post more once i've digested everything!
well i have a wonderful wife who dispite being sane puts up with all my quirks and fads not to mention my expanding airsoft collection. to say she's caring, understanding, patient and downright amazing is an understatement and a half. she's so supporting and loving i couldn't ask for anything more. We've been married for five years now just gone 9th feb. but been together for 9 years, since college. i can't imagine a day without her to be honest. We have two children one who's 4 at the end of this month and suddenly into transformers in a BIG way which means i've had to go out and get some of the old G1 stuff for his birthday which brings back serious memories. our other son is just 3 months old and right now is having issues sleeping due to a chesty cough. he's got cute by the bucketfull however and can turn any woman into mush at the mere bat of an eyelid so we're expecting about a million grandchildren from this one before he's 14.
anyhoo thats enough for the first blog. if you managed to read all the way through well done you ;) more punishment coming soon.
we're planning another outing on the 18th of march, which with work and funds and wives girlfriends and kids is the best timescale we can manage. once a month isn't bad but there is rumoured to be a site opening in manchester soon. so i'm going to keep my eyes open. apparently its an indoor site (time to buy an MP5) so should be short sharp games filled with some close quarters combat. hope your allowed to use grenades there, TLSFX have been making some excellent bb and stun grenades. i think the last Mk9 stun grenade we used almost made one guy need a change of shorts. but to be fair it did go off just behind him, and they are LOUD.
you know i should prolly say something about my family instead of harping on about airsoft at some point...
Blog's... Never really done one before. so this could be interesting (read, horrendously boring). So what the hell do i talk about?
well i went airsofting recently, something me and the guys do as regularly as we can manage. actually got the whole team out too which is nice, there's about 20 of us all split between cheshire and newcastle so as you can guess getting us together is a task and a half. but we had fun and we owned the other team in the last game which was so spectacular. btw for those who don't know what airsoft is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3TST-PIihc this is actually the site we visit, phoenix urban. a very good site based in sheffield. Um yes it does hurt. alot at close range too. but its all fun, as you can prolly see by my pic i'm a big girlie who wears body armour ^_^ its part of the whole loadout but on cold days keeps you toastie warm so all is well.
